Be a Kanzi Fundraiser
There are many ways to raise funds and what you do may depend on the time you have to spare. We appreciate how very busy people are so we have a few tried and tested ideas. Some require very little time and some a little more:

Collect 5ps or 20ps in Smarties tubes

Do something crafty to sell to friends and family such as greetings cards,  jewellery or handmade books

Hold a coffee morning; bake sale or a guess the weight of the cake activity.

Be a Kanzi Fundraiser

Do something to keep you fit like a walk, run or cycle,

Hold a concert or a music evening.

There are many ways to be a Kanzi fundraiser and we are sure you will have lots of ideas of your own!

Support Kanzi through Amazon

It is really easy to sign up for Amazon Smile by using your existing Amazon account details. On Amazon Smile, you can search for Kanzi-Kibera Friends as your chosen charity. Shopping with Amazon Smile is no different from Amazon except that a donation will be made to Kanzi when you do!

Introduce Kanzi-Kibera Friends to a larger group of friends

A number of schools, churches and other organisations have become Kanzi friends so why not see if your own would like to be one too?

Become a Regular Donor

Giving just £10 per month to our Food Programme can ensure that every child in the four schools has cooked lunch every day. For most children, this will be the only meal of the day.

A regular donation can also fund books and equipment for the children and pay for ongoing maintenance and repairs to the schools.

Become a Co-opted Friend

A co-opted Friend may participate in trustee meetings and contribute to decision making without the responsibility of being a named Trustee. We very much welcome people who have diverse experiences, different skills to offer or just an interest in making a difference to children in Kibera.

Become a Trustee

If you have a little more time to spare, you may like to consider becoming a Trustee. Trustees have overall control of Kanzi-Kibera Friends and are responsible for making sure it’s doing what it was set up to do. They are the people who lead the charity and decide how it is run. Being a Trustee means making decisions that will impact on the lives of children in Kibera. The Trustees meet four times each year. For more information about becoming a Trustee, please contact us here.
