Today, Kanzi had the pleasure of hosting visitors from the United States; Amanda, Andrew, and Nick who are experts in the field of computer technology.
The visit provided a valuable opportunity for productive discussions on the development of a sustainable computer education program across our partner schools.
A key proposal explored was the introduction of a Training of Trainers (ToT) model, in which selected teachers would be equipped with essential computer skills and instructional capacity. These teachers would then train others within their respective schools, creating a scalable and sustainable approach to digital literacy.
In addition, discussions were held around the introduction of weekly computer lessons for students, to be integrated across four schools. This initiative aims to ensure consistent access to computer education and to progressively build students’ confidence and competence in using technology.
As part of the engagement, students from Cana Junior participated in introductory computer lessons. During these sessions, they learned basic computer skills and were introduced to how platforms such as YouTube can be used as an educational resource for exploring and understanding new concepts.
These early interactions with technology represent an important step toward equipping learners with the digital skills needed in an increasingly technology-driven world.
A follow-up meeting will be convened to further refine these proposals and develop a clear framework for implementation.
Kanzi extends its sincere appreciation to the visiting team for their expertise and collaboration, and to all staff and partners who contributed to the success of the day. Their commitment and coordination ensured the smooth execution of all activities.
Together, we remain committed to strengthening access to quality education and building pathways that prepare students for the future.
