While schools are on half-term break, the classrooms may be quieter—but the learning hasn’t stopped.
Every day, Kanzi Resource Centre continues to welcome learners from primary school, secondary school, and university who choose to spend part of their holiday revising, reading, and developing their digital skills in our computer lab. The centre remains a safe, welcoming space where young people can learn, explore, and prepare for the future.
One conversation this week captured the heart of what the Resource Centre means to our learners.
A student approached us and asked,
“Teacher, can we clean the centre and use the computers for an hour, as long as you provide water and soap?”
It was a simple request, but a profound one.
It reminded us that when young people are given access to opportunity, they don’t need to be persuaded to learn—they simply need a place where learning is possible. Their willingness to serve before they studied spoke volumes about the value they place on the centre and the opportunities it provides.
At Kanzi Resource Centre, we believe education extends beyond the school calendar. Learning is a lifelong journey, and every holiday presents another opportunity to grow, discover, and dream.
We are grateful to our supporters, volunteers, and partners who make it possible to keep our doors open throughout the holidays. Because of your generosity, learners continue to access books, computers, the internet, and a community that believes in their potential.
Together, we are nurturing curiosity, building digital skills, and creating a space where every learner feels seen, supported, and inspired to keep learning.
