Dignity, Every Month: Why Menstrual Support Still Matters
At Kanzi Resource Center, we encounter many needs, but some are quieter than others. Menstrual health is one of them.
For many girls in our community, access to sanitary products is not guaranteed. Yet menstruation is a constant arriving every month, without fail. When there are no pads, girls are often forced to miss school, withdraw from activities, or find unsafe alternatives.
This is not just a health issue. It is an issue of dignity, confidence, and opportunity.
In the past, we worked to provide reusable pads as a long-term solution. While well-intentioned, this approach revealed a deeper challenge: sustainability depends on context. In environments where access to clean water is inconsistent, reusable options can become difficult to manage safely and effectively.
This experience reminded us of something important; solutions must meet people where they are.
Today, our focus is on providing disposable sanitary pads to girls who need them most. It may seem simple, but it is deeply impactful. It allows a girl to attend school without worry, to participate without fear, and to move through her day with dignity intact.
But this is a recurring need. Every month, the demand returns.
We cannot do this alone.
We are inviting you to stand with us to support a cause that is often overlooked but deeply felt. Your contribution, whether big or small, helps ensure that no girl has to choose between her basic needs and her sense of self-worth.
Because dignity should never be optional. And it should never depend on circumstance.
If you would like to support or learn more about our work, we welcome you to reach out and be part of this journey.
