Several months ago, Sid, a KKF trustee, introduced Cyprian to Neel and his father who had strong connections with Kenya. They were very keen to make a significant contribution to the work of Kanzi Kibera Friends. Thanks to the amazing fundraising by Neel and his family, we were able to buy a sizeable building in Kibera, which will be used as a resource centre for the four schools we support; as well as the local community.
Neel, his father and our founder, Cyprian, will be travelling to Kenya to be at the official opening on Friday 18th November. They will be travelling with a number of digital devices recently donated by the Lady Barn House School, to add to the other resources already in place. From small beginnings, we aim to grow a significant place of learning for the children and their community.
