Sam and Mark run their first half-marathon for Kanzi-Kibera Friends

Sam, aged 13yrs, and his Dad Mark are running their first half-marathon on 20th November. Sam and Mark attend All Saints Church in Deganwy, North Wales, and the church has recently adopted Kanzi-Kibera Friends as their overseas charity for 2022-23. Sam was really interested in the work of Kanzi and wanted to help support education for the children living in Kibera. Although school can be a bit of a nuisance sometimes, it is hard to imagine what it’s like not to be able to get an education.

So, Sam persuaded his Dad to run the Conwy Half-Marathon with him and they both started training in preparation for the event. This is not an easy half-marathon for anyone, let alone first timers. It includes running around the Great Orme in Llandudno, which can be pretty brutal in November!

Please support Sam and Mark by sponsoring them via their JustGiving page and helping support education for the children of Kibera:  http://www.justgiving.com/Mark-and-Sam

Everyone in Kanzi-Kibera Friends is rooting for you both and hoping you don’t need this defibrillator you were snapped in front of!
